sometimes it goes well..other times?
so tubeless ready rims taped up....tyres went on by hand!
(for those that like detail WTB Riddlers 37mm on Alex Draw 1.9s 700c)
using a trackpump with a tank that usually does the job but no way
youtube suggested strapping the tyre so pulled a roofrack strap out of the boot and tensioned it up and yep the tyre seemed to seat and hold air but no popping noises...added sealant and let the tank blast again and seemed to get more sealant than would expect leaking around the rim...strap off and then some very minor pops not like what had in the past on tight tyres....seems to be holding but only a couple of hours and left with pressure as high as could get so will check later...so will the tyre just burp when i reduce the pressure? is it just a crap combo that will cause all sorts of problems in the middle of nowhere?
You could clean it all up and add some more tubeless tape to build the rim up, this will give a slightly tighter for for the tyres and should create a better seal.
Is the tyre seated properly? If so it will be fine IMO
YOu can tell by checking the moulded line on the sidewall - if its even all round then the tyre is seated.
Looked pretty even and seated but after 5hrs gone down suspect a bad combination will give it another go
Only seated properly on one side can see the bead on the wall hooked in other side at best after several more tries about half appears to pop into the rim groove...other than more tape any opinions on is it worth sticking a tube in for a couple of days and see if reshapes the case a bit.. tends to drop to centre when pressure released
What pressure and you getting them up to? You could try taking the wheel off and dragging it sideways to try and persuade the tyre to fit, also some fairy liquid on the rim/tyre bead to allow it to move a bit easier might do it.
I had some Nanos that did this. Wouldn't go up tubeless at all on Alex rims. Abandoned in the end...
If I still have them kicking around in the garage somewhere, I might try them on some different rims.

I'd go with more air (max as written on the tyre) and a spray with soapy water on the stubborn bit of the bead. This should get the tyre seated properly, then add sealant through the valve core.
If all the above fails, then I'd go more tape, and then do the above
+1 for soapy water and higher pressure.
How many wraps of tape did you put on? If the bead is struggling to get up onto the shoulder then you might actually need less tape, not more.
The soapy water was the last thing I tried on my first attempt at tubeless, now I wouldn't bother trying without it makes way more difference than you'd expect
2 wraps thin orange tape..prob seems to be tyre very loose on rim I got on by hand v easily ...used soapy water 1st couple of times but forgot to use on later attempts so will go back and soap up..pressure wise pump says around 70psi so not that high but tank usually blasts volume ok and have done with and without core in also manipulating tyre as blast goes in seems to help as got pops where I twist it but not an octopus!
