Just converting bike to tubeless. Have tape, valves, etc. Have just stripped the first wheel down ready to tape and it already has 'something'. Is this tubeless tape? If not, do I tape over it with tubeless tape or remove first. Sorry for dumb questions but this is all still pretty new to me. Thanks in advance.

Nope, that's just bogo rim tape. Take it off, clean the rim, put tubeless tape on.
Put tyre on, put tube in,inflate & leave for an hour or two to let tape bed in, take one side of tyre off, remove tube, install tubeless valve, pop tyre back on, add sealant & inflate
Thanks Steve. I've removed the red tape and clearly it wasn't tubeless stuff. I didn't want to start pulling at it and discover it was and wreck it in the process.
Just taped the first rim. Not the most relaxing job I've ever done. More air bubbles than an aero!!
I'll stick the tube in and inflate, like you advised. Probably leave it overnight and then see how it all looks before deciding to try putting in the sealant.
