had a decent flat this morning that required tube to be put in (5mm slit)
on opening the tyre all the bits to stop up holes had congregated together in a big ball.
this kind of defeats the purpose of putting goo in in the first place and how can you stop it happening?
also the tyre hadnt glued itself to teh rim strip which it has done every other time i`ve tublessed? have i got dodgy jizz?
any ideas? maxxis singleply casing. s(a)tans fluid.
cheers,
mark
how longs the sealant been in the tyre?
You just need to clean it out every so often and replace the jizz.
Also how old is your bottle of jizz. Stan's usually very good. Not sure if it has a bit of a shelf life once opened though.
sealant will ball up over time, ime, especially in cold weather.
have i got dodgy jizz?
no idea, you can ask for tests, though.
It probably balled up a bit with the air contamination from the 5mm slit
Did it flat straight away or did it go down over a few mtrs ?
Have you used C02 at all?
No co2. Only tubelessed it in July with a new bottle of Satan's. Went flat instantly resulting in some excellent clipped in sideways action and a healthy fountain of jizz everywhere.
Odd really. I do find the single plys bleed through the sidewalls a bit though it hasn't happened on the front. It was a big rubbery ball so not a recent thing I think.
Pain in the arse this tubeless Lark.
