I've only ever flown with a bikes running tubes so never had this problem. A mini pump is enough to get me riding on my road bike. Looking at gravel trips. Unlike my mtb, I've never got my gravel tyres seated without a little help.
If you travel with tubeless what kit can you take on the plane? CO2 is generally not allowed. Are Airshot canisters? They aren't that much different to Sigg bottles. It would be useful to have something that could reseat a tyre should I need to. It occasionally happens and would be a faff without the right stuff.
Will probably try and buy some CO2 once we arrive which would then let me use my race setup. CO2 and sealant not ideal but it would be ok for a week.
Just let the tires down enough to be able to fit them in your bag. You don’t need to deflate them to the point they unseat.
I cant see why it would be a problem if it was in with your bike and depressurised. Otherwise just use a local bike shop if your unlucky enough to need to reseat a tyre
I've flown with my road bike set up tubeless a couple of times. Had to deflate the tyres a bit to get them to fit into the recesses in the bike box but it wasn't enough to unseat them and they went straight back up with just a track pump, no leakage.
Not that CO2 is great for tubeless sealant but you can fly with it. British Airways for example, allow each passenger 4 CO2 canisters in hold luggage. Any other device that's not pressurised is fine. As above, best bet is down let them down enough to break the bead seal.
As far as letting tyres down, just don't. It's completely pointless, plane luggage holds are pressurised but even if they weren't it'd be fine.

It varies, I had four in my bag coming back from Italy this year - could have worn I had two but i guess I still had the previous year's two in when I put two more in before going - no issues going out to Spain, coming back from Spain, going out to Italy, but got stopped coming back and told to remove two from the bike bag - and put them in my carry on luggage instead.
