right so i switched my heavy DH rimmed wheels over to some lighter enduro wheels on friday. the front tyre (Muddy Mary) was an absolute bitch to get on the rim. this was most likely due to the thicker sidewalls of the tubeless ready tyre. eventually i got the tyre on but only after 2 separate inner tubes had been damaged in the process.
due to concerns over how difficult it would be to change a tube on the trail with this tyre i went for the tubeless conversion kit....and here is where the confusion starts
my front tyre is tubeless ready but the rear hans dampf innt.
can the rear tyre be used as a tubeless tyre or should i leave it as it is
yes the Hans Dampf (and most modern tyres from major brands) can be used tubless and, imho, are easier to seat on rims than 'propper' tubless tyres and weigh less.
