Always used Slime but have been told Stans is much better.Seems a lot dearer not sure how much Stans would be needed for 1 tube.?
stans for me,when I had slime tubes and got a puncture they sealed the puncture after losing a fair amount of air and when i tried to add more air it had also sealed the valve
Now run tubeless with stans but have had stans in tubes in the past and never had a puncture, not sure if that means it worked or never got tested
I have just put some stans in an inner tube used 1 scoop (60ml) in the tube on a 29er that is. Had a puncture on every ride prior to me putting in the Stans coincidence maybe but i am sticking with it for a bit.
So I need to buy the bottle that's about twelve quid the little 2 oz bottle ain't big enough ?Also seems you have to top Stans up but Slime is just a 1 off application
Why not just set your wheel up tubeless Roland? If this is for the Rajin then lighter wheels will make a bigger difference and Ardents/Crests should be pretty straight forward tubeless?
Nah it's for the Spicy Andy can't be facing with that Andy Bevs failed big time and finished up putting a tube in !
They both seal fine but I think stans has the edge because it is cheaper and slime because it lasts longer in the tube before drying up.
Either way tubeless is better than both for thorns, snake bites and stuff like that.
can't be facing with that
Thats what you said about teh big wheels for 5 years and look now 😈
