Just how the **** are you supposed to keep air inside inner tubes? 3 rear flats on the way into work yesterday, patched up, another slow front flat on the way home patched up last night, this morning two soft tyres. GRrrrrrrr. I've been patching tubes regularly for ooooh twenty years or so and I've successfully patched loads of road tubes that were good for 100psi so why can't my repaired cx tubes hold 60?

In this day and age it can't be beyond modern technology to create a pneumatic tyre that stays fricking pneumatic. Tubeless can't even save me here, 40psi on skinny tyres just isn't enough, gave it a go on the rear tyre, after 1 month puncture free the tyre ripped on a tiny rock. I've since bumped tyres up to 50F 60R for naff all traction and a bone shaker of a ride, worked for a while but another raft of punctures this last couple of weeks. Nice weather at the moment so I can be philosophical about it all, sit down look at the nice views and fix my tyres (albeit with cold hands) if it was pissing with rain I'd be gnashing my teeth, ranting and foaming at the mouth.

Nice rant, and nice image of fixing tyres under sunny skies...

I bought a box of Airwave tubes a while back and they simply won't take patches, so I share your pain. Conti ftw.
