Inner cable has gone on my YT Postman dropper post. I've removed the old inner cable and am attempting to fit a new cable but the outer housing at the end of the post doesn't rise all the way to the top of the seat tube like it seems to in most examples I've seen. It kind of sit half way down the tube and I don't know how to thread the new cable in withjout being able to expose it.
Are there any magic tricks out there I can use the get this cable thorugh? I've tried running the cable in the other way around and it does go all the way thorugh and doesn't allow me to bring the outer cable up any further.
Have you undone all the outer housing clamps and pushed it up through?
Top tip, remove dropper lever from bar.
Loosen any cable management.
Loosen seatpost collar
Gently lift seatpost upwards whilst pushing cable/lever in the direction of the seatpost.
Only remove inner cable once you've brought the seatpost out far enough that you have access to the outer end in the seat tube.
thanks I got it, threading cableing through the other way around to use as a guide and just had to pull much harder than I thought to get the outer up. I was convinced that the outer wos not supposed to go any higher than it was.
