Hi. I just picked up some Truvativ X9 cran arms which have the SRAM direct mount chainring fitting and a spindle that has 'BB30 and PF30' on it. I've tried to install it into an SRAM DUB threaded BB but can't get the spindle into the bearings, even with a bit of 'encouragement'. IS there a compatibility issue here? I researched this before I picked them up and it looked like the X9 spindle would be compatible with the DUB BB so I'm scratching my head...

Yes, BB30 is 30mm, Dub is 29.9-something. You need Dub cranks for Dub BBs.

That's confusing and a bit annoying. There's lots of spiel in the DUB advertising about the way it's universally compatible....

What they mean by compatible is any dub crank will fit with any dub bb I believe. So you don’t end up with different cranks for different frame standards - I.e bsa screw in / bb30 / pf30. You can use the same cranks for all of them but either the correct dub bb for the frame.

Can the bearings be replaced on the DUB with ones that have a slightly larger internal diameter in order to accomodate the BB30 spindle?
