Following on from my helicoil thread, I’m on the lookout for a crankset just in case the helicoil route is a failure.

So I need a Sram Descendant Carbon Eagle, X-SYNC 2, Direct Mount 34T Boost, 12 Speed crankset.
Thing is I can’t seem to find anything other than Dub where mine is external bb.

Am I missing something?
Other than a crankarm thread!

I'll be selling my descendant GXP crankset, it's an 11spd one but works fine on my eagle setup. 170mm arms, it's a bit tatty and will be priced to reflect this. Won't be taking it off the biek for another 4 weeks or so though

Dub is external bearing on a screw on frame.

Do you mean it’s GXP you’ve got? Both are external but Dub has a pre-load collar on the non-drive side bearing. GXP just relies on you doing the whole thing up VFT and possibly a wavy washer on the non drive side too.

GXP is on its way out I think - not much stuff around vs Dub.

Joebristol, yes it’s a gxp bottom bracket. Bloody confusing to the layman all these standards!

momo, I could be interested. I’m in no rush.

@cogglepin
If you keep an eye out something will come up. Saw these at the weekend and didn't even bother with an offer. They have been delivered today and are like new

@tracey

that’s a right bargain you’ve got there! Anyway I’m sorted now thanks, Managed to find a brand new set online at a really good price and I’m going to get the old set repaired and keep them for a future pub bike build.

Sounds good. Just make sure they get it in correctly and not at an angle
