I bought a vitus frame on eBay that had no shock. I bought the appropriate shock, but I can't get the bloody thing to fit. I've measured the shock mount (on the shock) and it is 54mm, the top mount on the bike seems be 53mm which is probably why it doesn't fit.  Before I return the frame, am I missing something - is there a knack to fitting these trunnion shocks (I've never had one before)?

@northersouth if a 275 in medium is  any good to you I'd be prepared to move it on.

Bought one for my son in the chiggle sale but after only 2 rides we got him a large so we have a medium 27.5

Without shock sat here
