Just saw this on Kickstarter and initially though it was an odd idea but actually I think it is genius.

Bit like those temporary surfboard roof racks people have. Considering my wife car has a rack on the roof for the few times a month she picks me up from work with my bike, this might be a better solution to leave in the boot. Might then get better MPG on her daily commute.
