Just put new pads in front and rear. The front is fine but the back is binding, the bike is rideable but there's definite drag.

I've wound the adjusters back out as far as they'll go, I've tried different combos of pads in case some are thinner!! Still the same problem.

Any tips for adjusting them further?

Can I sand a bit off a pad!?

I keep trying dragging the back brake to wear it down a bit but it's still not having it. Unfortunately the old pads are long gone otherwise I'd just pop one of them back in.

You may have brake pad residue binding up the mechanism - wind the adjusters in and out a few times, as well working the actuator arm a few times. You may need to remove the caliper and give it a deep clean to remove all the crud. Also check cable condition - try lubing the inner cable with chain lube.

Sounds reasonable, I'll give that a go tomorrow! What can I use to deep clean a caliper?

@dovebiker removed the adjusters today and gave them a clean and scrubbed behind them as best I could, did the trick! Brake no longer binding 😁👊

Good news, what did you use to clean them?
My rear caliper is a bit sticky and feels rough. Stripped it down and found the bearings were a bit rusty, cleaned them the best I could and regreased but still not great. About to buy a new caliper but might try giving the rest of it a clean anyway and see how it feels.
