bike came with trp spyre c brakes. can I run it with a flatbar mtb brake lever?
rather than the drop bar set up.

I think the leverage or cable pull is different. Trp make the spyke which is the mtb version. I'm sure you can get pull converters to change road pull to mtb.

It won't work very well. Flat bar road levers would work well though.
