My cx bike's back brake has gone virtually completely. Little effect on stoping. Need to bleed it. But I can't find any guides as to how is best to do this. YouTube features endless videos of how to bleed almost any brake. But not theses. Any one got a clue?

When I was using HyRd's I found that they would run out of travel before the pads were half worn down, topping the reservoir back up would allow me to get the remaining use out of the pads.
The down side of this was that when you fitted new pads you had to bleed some fluid out before they would fit.

What Dibbs said^^. And that's why I got rid of them. Initially I thought that by pulling extra cable through it would overcome the problem but all that did was make the arm come in to contact with the body of the brake. Not sure if I had a dodgy set but most shops weren't able to help cure the issues.

I think the problem is that the fluid reservoir is too small.
I have a feeling that later models had a bigger reservoir.

Yes that makes sense. Pads are worn but lacking contact. Pistons move but not enough. I might make a half decent job in the end.
