So the time is drawing nearer when I can collect all the bits of my new bike under one roof and get it built up. Each individual bit is pretty much a known quantity other than the TRP brakes. They looked like good value, suitably bling and not XT, which were my main requirements. Anyone tried them? Any good?

They look like a re-worked old pattern shimano XTR brake to me. STW liked them.

Thoughts are, certainly the caliper looks old XTR design and it uses XT/XTR pads, even the logo appears to be XTR font. Lever looks nice, tho I'm not sure I'd be keen on those fragile looking twiddly bits.
