Figured some on here must have had both, any thoughts on how they compare? Need a new lid and know the Troy Lee fits me well but I've had a fair few Troy Lees and fancy a change, also Sport Pursuit have some Tectal Race MIPS pretty cheap

Not sure, aren't they the same shell, SE just has MIPS and stuff, no?

Not had either, but purely aesthetically, I've always preferred POC to TLD. Might get a Kortal when I need to replace my Fox Speedframe

I could be wrong without looking, but don't POC give a bit more rear coverage too?

Loved the round deep fitting of the A1. Don't like that the liner starts to delaminate after a while. I've had three and happened to all. Tried the A3. Does not have the same fit as the A1. Felt more perched on top. Returned. Now I run the Flowline and it fits basically the same as the A1, has better liner, more adjustable and I really like the visor as it's got a lot of range.

I never had a good fit with the A1 or A2. The A3 fits nicely and I’m confident it’s going to do its job if i come off. Its worth checking it suits you.

I really fancied the POC helmets and while I was in the bike shop at Llandegla I tried one on and then the old faithful TLD - there was no competition it was the TLD for me - it's all about the fit stupid.

Go with fit over style. I have the Bell Super Air R, very cool and vented, but just never really fitted quite right. I had the 3R before that and it was the same.

Switched to the A3 and whilst not as cool, what a difference!

I tried the Tectal and fitted better than the Bell, but not as good as the A3.

My tld a1 is the comfiest helmet I've had.

I've got a poc (kortal i think). It looks nice,  but the fit is nowhere near as good.

There have been good deals on the spesh range recently. I bought a couple of the mid range ones and they are nicely put together IMO.

I had an A1 years ago and was proper comfy but since been on 2 Mett lids and I’d say they’re more comfy and a great fit
