After having three A1's I've finally come to the conclusion that they're a bit on the warm side, however incredibly comfy. In fact I've never put another helmet on that's as comfy.
Anyway, has anyone gone from an A1 to an A2 and found it significantly cooler?
Also, what's the MIP's wobble like, do you get used to it? The A1 suffers very little but the A2 I have from CRC seems to have much more.
I had an a1 then got an a2, I find it a lot cooler, definitely more airflow. It’s not aircon but it’s better!
Wore my a1 on night ride a few months back and it felt like I was cooking! Not sure if that was just down to the helmet or not
I replaced my A1 with and A2 and it's certainly a lot better. But it's not cool in absolute standards, just quite a bit cooler than the not very cool at all A1. I have a Giro Hex that runs rings round it in terms of air flow, but isn't as comfortable.
I bought an A2 a few months ago but sold it after first few rides as it was too hot - I wear prescription glasses and sweat was pouring onto them. I get virtually no sweat drips with my Spesh Ambush. The A2, while having lots of vents, has none that put air onto the brow, so that area gets soaked in no time, for me anyway. Real shame as a comfy and well fitting lid otherwise.
Thanks for the responses so far.
Having worn it around the house for 10 minutes, it's the MIPS wobble that's putting me off most, just doesn't seem to stay still. Looks like the A1 and all it's heat is staying for now, god I hate MIPS!
I didn’t find it moved noticeably more than my non MIPS lids (I have MIPS on road Giro Synthe and non MIPS on Spesh Ambush). The vent layout could be better thought out to have one right on the front to put air to the brow pad.
