Yesterday I nearly knocked myself out on a surprise tree, my old A1 has a big old dent in it and I need a new one. As it's the best helmet I've ever had, I'm going to get another, but I need some info.

The Galaxy designs (and some others) appear to not have a hard plastic coating over the lower part of the back of the helmet. Is this the case or is it a transparent coating?

Have got the black camo design and the lower part of the lid doesn't have a plastic coating. It looks like the liner but with a better finish than the inside IYKWIM

That's what I suspected, the blue version of the one above seems to have a blueish coating on the lower part, but you can still see the polystyrene texture....so not sure if it's transparent.
