I have 2 of Chris’s awesome lights

1 x SpidersEyes Helmet light

1 x Dominator bar mounted light

they have been outstanding over the years. I think I got them off Chris in 2010

I have a longish distance night ride coming up (Centre of the North Island & Timber Trail combined) and I’m just testing the battery life. On low the head lamp is coming up a tad short,

Headlamp

Low 7hrs max

Med  3.5hrs

Full 1.5hrs

I’m considering different options I’ve got

Getting new or bigger batteries is challenging as I now live in NZ  it would be pretty expensive for just one ride too. The current batteries are sufficient for most of my weekly night riding

easiest is just to use only the headlight and take the 2 batteries

my other option is to look at reprogramming the lights. 2 x lights is much more comfortable and less tiring to ride with.

I’m know Chris used a maxflex or similar and that the different levels can be programmed. I built a couple of lights myself back in the day (obviously Chris took to a next level)

Does anyone know/confirm what driver Chis used so I can track down the user manual

Long time since I’ve posted on here. Thanks I’m advance for any help

Ian

Chris used Control boards from here

Mostly maxflex 2 & 3 (now discontinued but programming method is similar)
