Any pointers to where the decent riding is please. I know there was a mag article, but somebody will be only too happy to advise I'm sure

SFB is your guy on this stuff, I would leave it for a few weeks the last time I went after a wet/damp spell in the weather, it was bloody slow going!!!

We only ride the Trough around midsummer, but it would also be good if you could guarantee a hard frost - but you'd need it to have been frozen for about a week, as the tops are just soggy peat - unless you don't mind sinking 🙂 Here's a typical [url= http://www.bogtrotters.org/route/showrouteframe.php?route=61 ]route map[/url]

There's also a good route in from Chipping, which meets up with Langden Brook on the Trough Road, then loops back to Bleasdale but I'd agree with Simon, it's boggy on the top when it's not frozen/summer.
