After my last adventure to Highlands I am eager to visit Scotland again, but this time with riding buddies and to different places.

Plan is to ride the bestest trail center Glentress-Innerleithen and stay somewhere in Peebles for best access.

Now the question comes as: -Where should we stay? Could wise of this forum recommend inexpensive ~ £30pppn bike friendly B&B ? Is there any other places worth visit after riding?

I suspect in STW style to be given tons of links to B&B's but would appreciate tried and tested places with personal views on how it was from real riders.

/bow to helpfull crowd. Popstar.

How many of you? Try TheBikeLodge or Glentrail House in Inners. Not B n B but good value and you could get breakfast at the hub.

What about Kirroughtree? My favourite of the 7 Stanes by a country mile.

The Glentress hotel is spot on B and B for only £30ppn and its right at the trailhead. Ive stopped here 3 times now and never had anything to complain about

Another vote for Innerhaven, stayed there for a couple of nights last month - really nice place with all important bike storage, washing and drying facilities 🙂

It will be 1st car with 3 riders, and other car most probably with 2. Will set off on different dates to make matter even worse.

Crowd wanted just some general trail center experience instead of Highlands epic, so safest bet for most fun is obviously Glentress-Inners.

Will check out those links given.

+1 for kirroughtree, glentress is overrated IMHO, although the blue is awesome for hucking around on.

Me and the ex stayed in a pub/hotel that I think was in New Abbey, which meant instant access to Mabie and Dalbeattie. We then moved on to a cottage in Peebles - just a mile or two from GT and Inners.

Happy memories 🙂

We often do a weekend up there staying at Glentress hotel, they do B&B, have bike wash and bike storage. Its at the start of Glentress trails so you leave car in hotel car park.
Usually we drive up Fri am and do Innerleithan then drive to Hotel (5 miles away), sat do Glentress black, Sun do Glentress Red then drive home.
Food at the hotel is great and we usually try to get a deal to include B&B plus evening meal. Just got this for £50 pppn, although there were alot of us.

Glentress hotel does look good as it offers at least B&B.
