You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just wondering if anybody had any experience of the Top Fuel? Preferably the aluminium one. Considering buying a frame and building up a short travel 29er for all day XC rides. I'm aware it's marketed as a race bike so just wondered how people found them comfort wise?
Yup, built an alu one up from frame only. Have 120mm forks on, so slightly slacker. Really like it, perfect for fast singletrack, short rear end feels really good
Suspension feels like 100mm no more no less, the shock is sensitive to set up, 25% sag and it ramps up quick, 30% and it feels much plusher (this is with the monarch xx shock). Other than that, its really well behaved, i like the Trek suspension layout (have owned a Spesh epic, didnt get on so well with that)
That's good to hear. The Trek seems sensibly priced frame only plus I've heard nothing but good things about their customer service.
