I'm a XC rider looking for a 29er HT - light weight, but also stable on the downhills because I am a total wimp.
So far I've only ridden a Trek Superfly 9.8 which seemed very good on both counts. But I don't want to buy it without having ridden any other contenders, so what alternative would the STW forum suggest I should seriously look at.
Nice decision to have to make, I'd be looking at:
Cannondale Flash
Orbrea
LaPierre
Scott Scale
Should add a Specialized Stumpy but I have a dislike for the brand, but other love them.
I imagine you'll get 101 different suggestions on here.
2015 bikes will be in stock in a few months so potential bargains around if you can wait a little longer.
Can't believe no one else posted on this. Bump.
Might be worth a spin on a Trek Stache too, bit more of an allrounder.
I like the Whyte 29c
Love my Trek Superfly 9.8, as soon as I tried one I new it was the bike for me. However you should try some others first. It will be interesting to see what you decide on.
