Hello!
So I ordered a roscoe 7 2019, and have to painfully wait a while for it (eta 16th-19th June)to be delivered. Does anyone own one or has anyone had experience riding one?
It seems like a decent spec for the money, but wondered how people have gotten on with the coil fork and if it’s worth being the first upgrade?
Can’t find many reviews with google-fu!
If you are thinking of upgrading the forks then you may as well get the Roscoe 8 as it comes with an air fork plus 12 speed eagle gearing instead of 10 speed and Shimano brakes instead of Tektro on the 7 , all for an extra £225 .
Rode a 2018 around the dairi Pak challenge as both my bikes were broke. The tyres make it feel like a full suss.
Swap the order for the better spec Roscoe 8...100%
I had the same debate and upgraded to the 8 for the air forks and the 12 speed was a bonus really.
Hi guys, thanks for the input.
I was hoping for it to be a couple of months down the line upgrade, rather than the day it gets here. Does the fork feel that bad?
It was hard to tell on the tiny model they had in store.
I looked at the 8 and decided to buy the 7, just because it left more room to buy quality gear - safety first I guess?
I have the Roscoe 8, but I ordered a 7 and they “forgot” to ship it.
I would personally prefer the coil fork as I am a normal weight and prefer coils as they’re a bit plusher.
If you’re very light or very heavy, yeah go for the 8 with the air fork. But even though I slightly prefer the Shimano brakes, there’s nothing wrong with the Shimano gears on the 7, and having a few hundred quid to upgrade...
The Roscoe is excellent fun and you can really push it. If the rest of the bike wasn’t so capable, the noodly 32mm Stantions and crude damping wouldn’t be so obvious...
Even more noodley than that they are 30mm stanchions although people seem to get on ok with them .
The 7 is good value but I've sold twice as many 8's. If it had a bolt through rear it'd be perfect
