i have an 09 Remedy 8 with 160mm lyrik, noticing today that the new 2010 and 11 models have 140mm travel forks on. Has the frame geo changed on the new bikes to allow for this 20mm reduction? Or could i stick a set of 140mm vanillas i have on there? Anyone know/done similar?

Pretty sure the 10 and 11 are 150mm forks. I think Trek changed the geo of the remedy to reduce the travel a bit when they brought the scratch out.

Yeah, 150mm Talas on the Remedy now, I took the Talas of And stuck some new 36 Floats on....much better bike for the kind of riding I do, and it's not affected the climbing ability all that much either

As far as I know the actual frame geometry is unchanged. I've fitted my 09 36 on my warranted replaced 2010 frame. Feels the same as my 2009 frame. 2009 or 2010 frames should work fine with 150 or 160 mm forks. In my opinion using a 140mm fork would defeat the object of the frame
