I am about to buy a rail but am on the cusp of their sizing. Trek tell me to take an XL, but the large goes up to 6”2” ( which I am) anybody here on a large and a similar height? 34” inside leg as well.

I am 5’11” with a 34” inside leg measurement

My Trek Rail in size LARGE fits me well

Two of my friends who are both 6’2” and taller have borrowed my bike and said it fitted them well

Perhaps a consideration may come down to whether you want a super stable platform in the XL wheelbase or something slightly more compact and manoeuvrable in the LARGE

That’s a good point Charlie, thanks. It will be for doing daft stuff.

I'm 6'0 and my mates XL felt huge!

He's 6'2 and it feels slightly big to him but good

I'm 6’2” and use a Large Rail. It's a great fit for me.

Check Rob Rides EMTB on youtube, he sized down to a Large Rail, and he's a similar height

We have a size large Rail, 2022 model (?). I think it sizes really, really small. I'm 5'11" and I think it's small. My two guiding colleagues who are about 6'2" think it's tiny. If I were you, I'd definitely take an XL. Hell, if I'd sat on it before buying it, I'd have bought an XL myself.

I have one of the original rails (not sure if geo has changed). It's an XL I'm 6'3" long in the leg.

It is maybe slightly shorter in reach than I would prefer. If there was an XXL I may have gone up to that.

I'm 5'10" on a medium, so have sized down. It's very agile, ebikes are inherently more stable because of the added weight. Can you try one? Loads of places have them as rentals. Love mine, great bikes

It depends on the age of the bike also.

Gen2 or before are smaller than the Gen3 and Gen4 bikes.

Although that’s not very clear either as the alloy ones are different also 🤦‍♂️

I’m 6’1” on a large Gen4 bike (which is basically the same reach as the rest old XL) lower seat tube length & slacker also.

I'm 6'2" on a 2022 Rail9 GX in a large size. Fits me nicely 👍🏼

I had a large in the older design (650 wh battery) and at 6ft 1 it was a little on the snug side and could have gone XL. As above, the new larger battery ones are bigger to accommodate the larger battery
