Just stripped the frame of my '09 top fuel down, the four frame mounted pivot bearings are on the way out. I keep hearing that Trek offer a lifetime warranty on bearings? is this really the case?
Well if that is true I will be delighted to hear it on behalf of my '09 Fuel! Where have you heard it though as I don't think I ever have.
if you look around on the net and a few threads on here, there is mention of lifetime on the bearings, but to me bearings wear so just wondering if anyone can give a definitive statement.
Just had a quick Google and it looks like it could be true for original owners going through dealers when the dealers fit them... possibly 🙂 wonder what a dealer would charge to fit them...
Does that include Gary fisher bikes as well? 🙂
If you are the original owner, take it to a dealer with your proof of purchase and trek will provide free replacement bearings... Labour is up to the dealer, but if you bought the bike from them, then most good shops wouldn't charge... Gary Fishers are covered also 🙂

They'd give away £50 of free labour??You're having a giraffe??
You used to be re-imbursed by trek for warranty work but thats been dropped aswell now.
