I don't suppose anyone has one of these in a spares box somewhere that they'd be willing to sell?

Seems like they're out of stock and on back order everywhere 🙁

It's the bit that enables you to run any stem with the knock block thing.

ta.

when i changed the stem on my trek rail, i just used an angle grinder to grind the two tabs off the top of one of the existing spacers so i could then run a normal spacer and stem above it

Ah cool, did it work ok that?

I'm wondering if a Dremel could do the trick?

Just remember that the knockblock is keyed into the stem (or lockring) to prevent things turning too far and damaging the frame in an accident. Take away the key and you risk damage if it all goes wrong.

To be honest, I don't think the crown will even touch the frame on an XL. I might test it first to see.

the knock block still works to an extent, just not a solid as when keyed into the stem

I had a ground down spacer and my bars would become misaligned with my stem with a bit of pressure on (not ideal on a rooty bit of downhill) no matter how tight the stem was I swapped it to a lock ring spacer and it’s solid as a rock now,

don't do whats been suggested! the spacer will stop spinning in a crash , but the forks will still be able to spin into the frame.
I've got one, bought it to try a 35mm stem on my XL frame, went back to 50mm as it rode much better.
drop me a PM
