Anyone with experience of these Treks?
Considering a used buy.

2018 version? I've ridden the 29er version which is the same frame. It rides brilliantly. Not sure of the benefit of plus on a FS really. Although on the 29er with it's wide rims & 2.4" tyres which come up huge its a lot of fun. Also choose your plus tyres wisely

As ever, test ride is best

I've had an Orbea Loki plus and it climbed brilliantly.
Not too keen at speed, felt too vague.
Could swap out the wheels and tyres for not too much.
What are the angles and length like in reality?
27.5.

I have a 2017 fuel EX8 , brought it as a plus but changed the wheels to my 29er set as the original tyres didn't look that great - will try them in the summer when it dries up. The price of some of these 2.8 tyres are to high for me to change them at the mo.

Great bike though ... it's my one bike and copes well with all day rides or trips to bike parks / trail centres.

Id say the head angle is definitely slacker than advertised it's a lot better pointing down than I thought it would be . Reach is good but I'd still prefer an extra 10mm at least as it's not a long bike by today's standards. The top tube length is shorter on the 2018 geo charts than the 2017 charts - but I believe Trek messed the charts up as it's the same frame.

The 2018 27.5 plus is what I sort of have (just waiting on shop to get me correct size as ended up with wrong frame).

The Nobby Nic tyres are actually quite good in my brief testing. I don't know if I need plus tyres but time will tell!

The 2018 model is 140mm front - the 29er version is 130mm front.

I do not like long bikes, so the Trek is good for me.

I also test rode the 29er version. Both are nice bikes.
