Hi,
Looking to buy a Trek Fuel EX 6.5 and wondered if anyone had any opinions (good or otherwise) on this bike or alternatives I should look at. Budget is strictly GBP 1050 (Evans are doing the bike for this). I already have a hardtail that I like and want to keep. Did a search on here and the 'net for reviews but couldn't find many.
Thanks,
Matt.
bttt, anyone?
Uses the older suspension platform, is a little more flexy in the rear than the higher spec fuels, and lacks the active braking pivot.
But still a good ride for the money & a perfectly good entry to the full-sus world! Still one of the better new bikes for that budget, along with a Spesh Pitch Comp.
Although, i'd be seriously considering one of the Boardman F/S bikes at that money. What you get for your money is simply leagues ahead of anything else in that bracket.
GTDave,
Thanks for the comments. Went to JE James' in Chesterfield and came away after leaving a deposit on a shiny FuelEX 6.5! Nice bit of kit, had a ride and it felt very good and really light. Pick it up in a couple of weeks once Cyclescheme pays out.
Just a quick thanks for Dean at JE James', great service and very helpful.
Regards,
Matt.
