I'm flying with a dh bike with dual crown forks and it won't fit in my old Planet X bike bag. Is there a similar bag that will fit?

I could use a box but most of them require cutting down and I don't trust the baggage handlers with a cut down box.

The bike is a 26 inch Devinci Wilson Carbon.

Pull the spring out and compress the fork down, secure with a strap to stop it extending.

or take the fork off and secure it against the frame

The forks are Boxxer World Cups, so I could let the air out. I'm still not sure it will fit, though.

By dropping the forks you are also protecting the stanchions. Surprised it wouldn't fit in the bike bag.

I always drop the forks out of the crowns and bubble wrap the whole stanchion.

HC: I haven't tried yet as I'm not flying until August and just planning ahead. I don't really want to dismantle the bike at the moment, unless I have to.

I'm going by how tight my shorter travel and wheelbase Morewood Kalula was in the bag.
