You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
We are planning a 3-week family holiday. A few days will be spent riding in Portes du Soleil.

Can anyone recommend travel insurance based on personal experience of an injury while riding? There seem to be a lot of negative stories on here, but I haven't read anything positive.
Alternatively, as 3 weeks cover for downhilling is quite expensive, but we only actually need a few days, can we get short-term cover for riding with our lift-pass or similar? I've heard this is possible for skiing and might be a good option for us.

Check out 'Cover For You'. They include mountain biking in their standard list of covered activities (under 2500m and wearing appropriate protection I think).
My eldest son did his collarbone in Morzine 2 years ago and they paid out for all the costs, including recovery of unused lift-pass days.
They were really good and I'm about to take out another policy for this summer's trip.
Never needed to use them (hopefully never will) but Yellow Jersey are a decent price and you just select the start and end dates you want it for (eg I'm in Italy in a month or so for 4 nights/4 days so just selected those days - no need to do it for a week at a time etc)
Bookmarked.

Thanks @lister, that looks sensibly priced compared with some quotes & under 2500m is ideal for Morzine/Les Gets.
Did your claim include a helicopter ride?

No helicopter but an ambulance off the mountain into Avoriaz and all treatment afterwards.
