Installing a new Crank Bros Highline dropper, having real problems with routing the cable outer through the frame.

It's getting stuck at the tight bend in the pre cast tubes, going from down tube to seat tube.

Any tips? I've watched the Windwave video and he does seem to have any problems at all!

It's a total sh*t of a job, the curve is very tight for a cable outer & it forces the cable up the wrong side of the seat tube into the linkage.

The easiest way I did it was to feed the out as far as it would go, then run the inner all the way through & yank on it to force the outer round the bend in the right place.

Considering they make a big song & dance about the internal routing, that bit is rubbish 🙂

I was going to try that tonight! Off to the bike shop to buy some gear cable then!

I give up! I've shoved a cable inner through the outer and even that was getting stuck.

Then, finally thought I was getting somewhere. Then realised that the cable was emerging through a hole in the carbon tube!

Is it not one continuous tube? It feels as if I've got a small hole in there and that's what the cable outer is getting snagged on.

I've had to remove the bottom bracket to get my fingers in!
