Like the look of these, but looking at the website I am exactly in the middle of the medium and large.

What size frames are people riding/what height are you/what type of riding do you use it for?

I have used mine for everything so far, very happy with the climbing ability, super happy with the descending ability. Mines a small, but then I'm short..

One of the guys I race DH with borrowed one for the Mega we all went out to a few weeks ago.

He is around 6ft (little bit shorter than me) and it looked fairly small. I had a go & it was noticably on the small side for me (medium).

Having not really seen one in the flesh before, I was a little dissapointed in the finish. Little bit 'cheap' looking and industrial around the linkage area (mildy ironic coming from someone with a 5). To be fair though, he abused the cr*p out of it all week & it was fine. It wasn't light, even for a do it all bike - rode fairly nicely though. Not for me in hindsight, i'd be spending my money elsewhere.

Ive got a medium - Im 5 foot 11. Im happy with the size, but I could just about fit a large - but it would feel less chuckable than the medium which is very easy to move around.

Ive got a 70mm Thompson stem on it as I found the standard short one too short - I hit my knees on the shifters. I also run 810mm bars.

Saddle is back, but not fully back. Its on a reverb, so no layback.

I ride it everywhere - local stuff in the Chilterns (where its overkill but actually rides up hill better than my old Whyte 46), trail centers & Woburn (where it is great), Alps (where its perfect), also done BBF and SITS type events on it. So pretty much a do it all bike.

I only want one bike and Im not a racing whippet - but I do enjoy mucking about, trying stuff, jumps, drops, just starting out to do doubles and tabletops.

I ride with a bunch of mates, some of whome are very fit, but I dont find the bike slows me down (my legs do that). If you fit suitable tyres, set the suspension to firmish it flys along. Set the rear sag to saggy it feels slower. The forks are ace (I run Talas and on very very steep hills I lower them) no dive in them or bob when honking.

Im very happy with it, if I won the lottery Id buy another just so I had a spare.

You need to decide what sort of riding you like really - if you race XC it wont suit you, it will go quite well, but you will be on the wrong bike. Alps was great - only thing slowing me down was my bottle.

I custom built it with Saint brakes, braided hoses, Hammerschmidt, CK hubs, extra wide bars, custom paint job (I didnt like the standard colours) and a Reverb (which has made a massive difference).

mine comes in at 31lbs with van 36 coils. Seems light to me..

Mmm, I need to weigh mine - Im running fat High Rollers with tubes. I would have thought mine was heavier. But I cant really say as Ive never weighed it.

The biggest difference was setting the sag - set it soft and it rode slow, set it to say 15% and it rode much faster.

That's light enough for me, and at least a pound lighter than my Intense 6.6 with air shock/fork.

Also found tyre pressues made a large difference to how it felt weight wise. Trouble is my old pump says 35psi, but using my new pump 20 feels the same - clearly the pumps are not calibrated very well.

No Ive no idea what tire pressure I ride.

Well you could say the same about my weights as it was done with a 20 quid luggage scale, always been close compared tot he airport though..

I'm 5' 8" - ish and got a medium. When I 1st stood over it I thought "oh sh1t should have gone for small" as my berries only just cleared the top tube. TBH though it feels fine when riding - dont find unwieldy at all and feels dead stable at speed.

As far as do it all bike goes, I would say definitley. Don't think I need to say much about it's DH and handling credentials but it seems to climb more efficiently than my 5 Spot although I do feel it in my legs more. Guess it's a bit heavier (can't be bothered weighing it).Not really a problem and I'm sure I will adapt in time!

For the UK I use the 2.35 Maxxis Hi Rollers, for the Alps I used super tacky 2.5 ones.

Tyre clearance was fine - could have gone bigger, but didnt need to. The rims are wide so the tyres seem to fit better and make a better shape.

I did find the DH specific tyres with DH tubes flipping heavy though, Im used to lofting the front with easy here in the UK, but in the Alps it was heavy enough to noticably make lofting much harder. If I go again I will experiment with leaving my normal tyres on and do a few runs. If I dont pinch flat I will stay like that. The size difference from 2.35 to 2.5 was not really noticable. The stickyness was, very confidence inspiring.
