Hi All,
My mate has got a Covert with a 142x12 rear end on it
and I believe you can swap over the drop outs to 135x10. Instead
of buying a whole new rear wheel. Is this correct
and anyone know where to get them from?
Cheers
Carl
Give freeride cycles a call in disley - got my covert from there so maybe able to help..
Or betd I've got my mech hangers from them
What year is the frame? Mine is 2011 so have the option of running both 135 & 142
Oh yeah, forgot about Freeride. Cheers
It's either a 2011 or 2012 hence believing you have the option to run either
He has a Hope Pro 2 with a 10mm axle see and as above rather than a
New rear wheel, just swap the drop outs
You can get 135 dropouts to fit a 2011 covert- but alternatively couldn't you get a 142 axle for the hope hub and have a stiffer rear end?
Just change the hope axle , just done mine from QR to 12mm thru axle albeit 135 piece O pee
Chopchop, plan is to change dropouts as that's easiest and cheapest solution, I think.
To swap the axle to 142mm will need a new hub no?
Matt the issue is the dropouts not the axle, but yes if it was just an axle swap its a pop
