I'm begrudgingly selling my beloved Transition Bandit. I haven't ridden it for years since moving to London and I've reluctantly accepted that it has to go - it's far too nice to just sit in my spare bedroom.

Problem is I have absolutely no idea how much it's worth and would really appreciate any help on that front.

It's a custom build v1 Bandit with Revolution World Cups, Stans Flow on Pro2 Evo hubs, X5 drivetrain with X0 shifters and Avid Elixr R brakes (which despite Avids reputation, I've absolutely loved), Race Face SixC bars, Rockshox Reverb, Thomson Elite stem, SDG Bell Air Ti saddle, Exotic Ti/Mag flat pedals, etc.

Was basically my dream build bike and I'm gutted to be letting it go, but it's the right thing to do.

It's been sitting unused for several years and apart from some hits to the pedals, it's all in good condition. Any ideas? Want to price it fairly - I'm not trying to push my luck.

Also have a load of other kit I'm getting rid of, including a Thomson Elite seatpost, brand new Kyle Strait kneepads (kindly bought by my brother without realising that I'm nowhere near gnarr enough to need kneepads), etc.

£500-550 complete, as people want a deal especially on a custom build that may or may not be 100% to their taste build wise. Based on some quick sums..

Frame £175

Forks £100

Wheels £125

Reverb £75

Other bits £100

Sounds sort of like the first bike I ever sold through my own business! Did you custom build it yourself or through a shop? If so, what shop?!?

Rock - that little? Yikes.

Pig - it was built by Bike Lab in Richmond, which no longer exists, although I bought the frame direct from Transition and picked up all the bits myself, apart from the wheels, which I got through the shop when it was built.

Loved my old Bandit, great bike. I sold mine (similar spec) for about £1k, but that was probably three years or so ago now.

It has neither modern geometry or wheel size I’m afraid.

Sold 2 650b Bandit frames early last year (mine & wifes) for circa £350 each.

Much as the 26” was an awesome bike I don’t think it will be worth much nowadays, circa £200 I’d have thought.

On account of the bits being attached to a frame with an unfashionable wheel size, maybe dismantle it?  The wheels are decent, maybe sell them to someone with a 26" frame that they fancy upgrading to tubeless*, etc.  Way more faff of course.

*Me for example, for my ancient Demo 8.

What size is the frame?

Know someone who may be interested.

I got £250 inc postage for my Bandit frame 12 months ago. Average condition but did have the upgraded Vipr shock.

Pretty much every component on yours is 2 or more generations behind ‘current’ (except bars etc)

As above- £500 is about right. Personally I’d keep it as you obviously love it. It’s still the same great bike it always was

Bavariangaz - XL.

RicB - at £500 I would possibly just keep it. But I need the money and I'm just not riding it at all, so...   🙁
