I have a Transit Custom with a 230V 150W inverter fitted as standard, it’s supposed to be for charging tool batteries and laptops, etc (I think) and I know ebike batteries are much bigger, does anyone have one in their Transit and can you charge an ebike battery from it while driving? I don’t really know much about electrics and haven’t got time to go to the Ford dealer and ask them.

We have one in the Tourneo Custom and have used it regularly to charge the Turbo Levos whilst in transit

You ideally need to check the power that your charger uses, or just plug it in and find out if the inverter shutts off. It should be written on it, in Watts or Amps. If it's in Amps you can convert to Watts by multiplying Amps x Output Volts.
From memory of our 2 Orbea Rise chargers (different generation batteries) one is under 100W and one is just over 150W.

It will be whatever charger recharges a Shimano battery.
It won't normally be written on the charger. The output watts is not the input watts.
See my laptop charger below, depending on device it states 10w or 45w.
The input is amps x volts i.e 1.3A x 230v = 299 watts, that's the load on the inverter. And it may spike when first plugged in so normal advice for this use would be to get a 500w inverter.
And if you are buying an inverter, cheap ones have a very dirty supply (modified 'stepped' sine wave) that won't run anything with a motor properly (i.e drills) and can also kill sensitive stuff, I killed a couple of toothbrush chargers doing this, and my laptop mouse would not work when charging off a cheap inverter. You'd be sensible to buy a pure sine wave inverter.
I wasn’t planning on buying on, just curious if the one that Ford put into my van when they built it would work. It’s factory standard. I’m not spending extra money on one.
Yep but others might, and I've told you how to work out the current draw of your charger in watts so you know if it's worth trying!

There is no way it's drawing 300w to output 45w. Probably more like 60w.
