Most of the maps I have on my Garmin Etrex 30 are also installed on my harddrive for use in Basecamp (in the form of .img tiles).
However I have one .img file on the GPS that I don't have in Basecamp. I can view it in Basecamp with the GPS connected but as the Etrex has a USB 1.1 connection it's a painful process.
Is there any was I can convert the GPS single .img file on the gps into tiles to use offline in Basecamp?
It's a public domain map and not a locked Garmin one.
I have a number of Garmin .img files installed on a USB stick. Basecamp assumes they are on a GPS device and reads them accordingly.
Thanks. I think that you can also install them onto a virtual drive. I just wondered whether there was simple conversion process so that Basecamp would read the from its own map directory.
