My mate Rickie Cotter is in at 006, she is one tough lass.
Think there's a live tracker starting tomorrow.

Ben Thompson (no. 55) used to work for (or maybe own, I can't recall!) the Mountain Bike Chalet in Les Arcs. Him and his girlfriend (Gabrielle Leveridge, no. 56) have been putting in some serious training, they'll be worth keeping an eye on. Good luck to everyone, looks like an awesome challenge 🙂

I was very tempted when I saw there were spare places available, then I came to my senses... Maybe next year (or the one after)! Good luck to everyone involved, will be there tomorrow to cheer them off!

Norwich local Richard Dunnett (no.2) will be one to watch too. He's been right at the top end of the Eastern XC races all year, 2nd in Mountain Mayhem 24hr solo and came second in TC last year.

The events looks awesome, although I believe that everyone competing must be at least a little insane. 😀

Far more sensible than a triathlon though eh : )

What put some perspective on this was that I'm riding to lake Constance at the end of the month, back to basics touring. Looking at routes at the moment and realised how direct and fast it can be. Kristoff Allegaert passed not far from there after just over 2 days! And 2hrs kip. He has a big lead now. Josh Ibbett's going well.

And a loud 'pedal damn it, Rickie!!' at the PC every morning : )

My club (Clitheroe Bike Club) mate and sometimes Sunday morning training partner, Mark Collinson (11), isn't doing too badly for his first attempt!
