just wondered if anyone has owt to add
or if anyone is doing it then, cos been let down so will prob just be me billy no mates again !!
prob doing it on my fatbike prob with 2.5 hookworms fitted (suitable)?
parts of it are difficult to follow getting through stockport. some parts at the moment are like a ride in grinding paste.
Done the route between Manchester and Leeds. It's very flat and uninteresting if I'm being honest. Lots of road, canal towpath and old railway lines. Cross. Ike would be good might be torture on a fatbike. May be better doing something like the pennine bridleway if you're looking for something multiway.
mmmmm so 2.5" slick arent sounding too good then
Some areas you'll need some tread, over the top of the peak district, especially with the amount of rain reciently, but light treads should be suitable elsewhere

I concur
Fat bike is wrong for this route. Thin bike is right.
Done about 1/2, 2/3 - Southport to Penistone way. Personally I like the old canal / disused railway / shithouse estate type of riding if you're in the mood. Quite interesting.
Southport to Stockport is absolute flat as a pancake, so expect to make good time there. Once you're past the Pennines to Hull is pretty easy going as well as I understand it - you might struggle to get 3 days out of it unless you're stopping in every alehouse en route.
