You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Sorry, road bike question.
Was just wondering what the difference is compared to a normal tyre?
Cheeper (therefore heavier, less grip, higher rolling resistance)
Longer lasting (probaly a thicker rubber on the 'tread')
More puncture resistant (due to the thicker tread, and possibly some reinforcement)
Or it could just be their cheeper tyre, because I'm sure the Pro's probably train on GP4000S' and then race on Tubs so its all relative.
Wot he said.
Yep, though theres not a lot of tat about these days anyway, well as long as you stick to the big names i.e Conti, Vittoria, Michelin Schwalbe etc.
You use them on your training wheels.
Hels.....was going to ask 'what do you use training tyres for' but thought the responses would be similar to yours!
GP4000s got a split in them the other day and same day received an email offer for some schwalbe blizzards (?), too good an offer to refuse! Was just wondering what the difference was, hopefully wont be too noticeable.
thanks for the replies
Im hanging up my good tyres next week and bunging some very cheap Rubinos on. They'll get run ragged between now and the start of the road season.
