Has anyone ridden there? Are they easy to find?
The inlaws have a villa in a little Spanish mountain village called Periana near Velez Malaga and I'll probably be down there at the end of August.
I took my bike to Periana last year. I searched and searched for some decent trails. Good times were had but the riding was very much "off piste" and was never totally confident that I wasn't trespassing 90% of the time. I also didn't see one other Mountain biker.
Benalmadena is an easy enough drive away and after reading a bit about the trails in the area I'll probably throw my bike in the car to make use of the cable car there. Does anyone have any riding experience in the area and if you do, are the trails easy to find?
Would get in touch with Switchbacks or Sierra Cycling but I've heard they take a break in August.
