Heading to lake Bala in north wales next week with the family unit and wondering on any trails from there rather having to drive up to coed y Brenin etc?
Any info gratefully received!
Berwyn hills are fairly close to Bala Lake. Some nice routes and not a soul around. Search for flat tyres routes.
Nothing really in Bala, it's all farmland, as mentioned Berwyn's is your best bet
Not a mountain bike ride but we quite often ride over to Llyn Vyrnwy round the lake and back over the other pass. There is a cafe at Llyn Vyrnwy and the Ice cream shop in Bala is worth a look.
Berwyn's are close as said or there is Coed Y Brenin and Cadair Idris heading South West
A bit depends how far you want to travel and what sort of riding you want
