Is it worth a trip over? I only live about 30 mile away roughly. I haven't been since they built the paradise trail up there. So what's it like?
I normally ride guisborough, NYM, occasional trips to Dalby and hamsterley.

I've not done the red for a while, but you will probably be disappointed with it compared to the other trail centres you mention. Not sure if it's gotten better recently?

There is plenty of bridleway riding around there, mixing in some of cleveland way and some road climbs.

We usually park in boltby as there is a nice descent back down from cleveland way. I can have a look for my ride on strava if you want some ideas?

I did the red and blue last year whilst waiting for my wife to finish a charity ride. The rides are stacked loops but you can easily do them in one which misses out the easy bits at the park centre. Don't bother with the short introductory loop over the road from the park centre just go straight out along the road, do the red (longer loop) then when you have climbed back up to the top don't go right to the centre but turn left and in a couple of hundred metres you pick up your outward path again and do the blue.

The descent at the far end on the red is the best bit but the very bottom of it can be muddy, very muddy. Expect to open a few gates as well, it's not a trail centre but the trails are signed. It's sort of a halfway house between trail centres and BW riding.

Did it a few months ago, didn't seem like a great deal of thought had gone into it. Won't bother doing it again.
