You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hey All,
A few friends and I are cycling up the West Highland Way in a few weeks and were thinking about some side options for the final day. We're staying in Kinlochleven the night before the final day and were wondering about some side options before heading up to Fort William.
I've heard about some trails around Mamore Lodge but, I must admit, I don't know anything about them. It looks like there are a fair few options from the OS map of the area.
Another route someone mentioned in passing was to head up to the Blackwater dam and, instead of heading down the Cairan Path, head up North-West to Loch Elide Mor and then down to Kinlochleven.
We don't really want to be doing the Cairan Path (not the biggest fans of it) and are looking for something a bit more singletracky and a bit less rocky.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Cheers.
Do the Dudes of Hazzard route possibly dropping the "Sooks Pipe" stage and doing the other trail if you go left on the fire road at the Mamore Lodge

Ta for those. Just what I was after, even if I can't spell Ciaran!
The trails they use for the dukes' enduro are fantastic. But they are as rocky as a rocky thing. Quite unlike ciaran path though.
Rode the dude's stages at the weekend and if anything they are more rocky than they were before. Must've been a wet winter as large trenches with huge rocks everywhere down the trails. Still all rideable and good fun but harder than they were in november for the race for sure.
