Anyone else noticing the big branches/logs being placed round the routes near mugdock reservoir and the surrounding area? One section where there's a couple of options, someone has blatantly tried to shut it off to bikes with large branches siliconed to each other and intertwined as well.

Grumpy walker who has nothing better to do? Clearly someone does not like sharing the trails!

My thoughts exactly. It's been more and more prevalent since the first lockdown I've noticed. More people on the trails and they think it belongs to them. With it being quite muddy in sections you would have thought the more constructive action to take would be trail maintenance instead of trail obstruction. So i spent about an hour doing some clear up and maintenance to make it more accessible. That's my good deed for the day. In no way shape or form was I visualising the disgruntled walkers face when he came across my work 😀

Seen a fair bit of that there lately, but not sure exactly where you mean Haggis1978 - on the reservoir side of the road (Voodoo) or between Drumclog and RockyRooty?

Had to have a look on Strava their to check. It's the bit in the trees which skirts the northern edge of Craigmaddie reservoir (didn't know there was two). From their on into the trails past the waterworks(?) on the hill to the east of mugdock reservoir behind the house there (Craigholm I think).

Ah - OK. Went up and over that way today on the way home, but was too wet to bother with the fun bits as they’d get destroyed. Mix of frozen fun and gloopy hell up there at the moment.
