Thinking about getting a trail friendly (i.e. suspension, trail geo, wide rims etc.) hardtail for year round riding but with plenty of mounts for Spring/Summer bikepacking trips.
What bikes should be on my shortlist?
Got these so far...
Bombtrack Cale
Marin Pine Mountain
Sonder Frontier
Salsa Timberjack
Any others I should consider?
Merida big trail.
Three bottle mounts.
Panier/rack mounts.
Kickstand mount.
Mudguard mount
140 mmm travel hardtail, trail geo. 29er.
Surly Karate Monkey?
Cotic Solaris Max thats got a fair few mounts on the down tube. https://www.cotic.co.uk/product/solarisMAX
Cheers all, all added to the list.
Any more?
There is two Marin pine mountains on eBay ATM, 2017. Plenty of mounts on the frame. I ran one with panniers on the rear but could run one on the front as well for longer rides/bike packing. Capable off road and on, had 2.6 schwable super Moto X tyres. Depends if you want rigid fork, the pine mountain is quick release boast
Would the Brother Cycles Big Bro fit the bill?
Anything.
Just use this fork. It's got enough mounts for everything.
😆
