[Closed] Trail Hardtail with Rack Mounts?

I'm after a new hardtail frame but not sure what to go for. It must be designed for 130/140mm forks, I want it to be reasonably light and not too expensive, I want a longish top tube (24" on a large) and it MUST have rack mounts.

What's out there?

What would you recommend?

On One 456. Orange P7.

Not light, though.

I've looked into all the steel options already. Hoping to find out what alloy frames there are this time.

I don't think the Ragley frames have rack mounts.

All Ragley frames have a rack mount on the dropout. Nothing on the seat stays, but they're easy to fix with a P clip.

You can just see it above the mech hanger on this pic - http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/just-in-ragley-mmmbop-23813

Or here on the 3d Cad - http://twitpic.com/o42gw

😉

Also - you used the phrase "reasonably light", and "Hoping to find out what alloy frames there are this time. "...

but yeah - ALL Ragleys (even the Ti, or the Rodwell cross frame) have a rack mount on the dropout.

Sorry Brant too much "looking at the pictures" not enough "reading the text".

What sort of weight would a Large Mmmbop or Blue Pig frame be?

Where can I find full geometry and sizing info for the Ragley's?

Rides a lot lighter than that though.

I'm not too sure about the super slack head angle on the Ragley's (will try to sort a demo on one soon).

Any other suggestions.

Lots of 500 quid ish bikes have frames with rack-mounts. Stuff like Specialized hardrock (is that what its called?) or own-brand makes like Pinnacle or Carrera etc.. Specialized come in loads of sizes too, might be worth checking ebay for something 2nd hand?

Outstanding value, No other frame can come close to these on price, finish (<5lb weight) and warranty backup IMO, they are a British company AND the Inbred has been adjusted to take your fork-choice without overslackening the steering feel 😛
