Can anyone advise on what distance between the rails on a towbar bike carrier you would need for a couple of boost bikes? Obviously the wider the better, but what should I be looking for?

Thanks

If it helps Buzzrack E-Scorpion 2 - lots of room for two long boost bikes. Nice rack as well.

If you look on roofbox they list the spacing for the racks they sell.

Wider than an Atera Strada DL3 anyway. Although you can miss the middle position of course

The Buzzrack e-scorpion 2 has 300mm between the rails, I've had 2 XL (1200mm+ wheelbase) bikes on it, and an XL bike and gravel bike, with zero issues apart from having the pedals in the right place.

Thanks.

The Atera Strada DL3 spacing is 18cm, so pretty narrow. The e-scorpion is very generous at 30cm, but has the support in between the 2 bikes.

What I'm trying to find is a folding carrier that will fit in the boot (90x90x60cm) that takes 2-3 boost bikes. The base needs to be pretty flat base so I can put a bag on it for holidays.

I have seen the Westfalia BC60 or Bikelander that you can also get a base for, but I'd rather not need the base. The spacing on that is 20cm I think.

Thule Velospace XT is supposed to have enough room, but doesn't. Even shuffling bikes so the axles aren't clashing, there's still some rubbing and chaffing between one boost and one 100/135 bike.

@nedrapier, that one is supposed to be 25cm too.
